OUR STORY
The Pearl of Horsterwold began with the discovery of this unique place in the middle of the largest deciduous forest in the Netherlands. For us it was immediately clear: silence, trees, water, tranquility. A nice place to be with friends and family. Too beautiful not to share. Here was born the idea for an open space where luxury and nature meet. Small-scale, stylish and personal - that is what we mean by 'boutique'.
Today you will find lodges, sustainable wrap-around cottages and luxury safari tents among the trees. Not all the same, because everyone seeks relaxation in their own way. Sometimes your day begins actively: cycling through the forest, a dip in natural water or yoga in the grass. Later you slide into the restaurant or order something from the Beachbar. And on another day you do nothing. Then you walk for hours, find warmth in the wellness or light the barbecue at sunset. Resort de Parel grew into The Pearl of Horsterwold: a boutique escape in nature. In the middle of the Netherlands, but remote enough to really get away from it all.

A WORLD OF FOREST
We never thought you would find such a vast forest in the middle of the Netherlands. Almost four million square meters of deciduous trees, with the Stille Kern as its protected heart. There you walk along open water and swamp, through grasslands and young trees. You hear birds there before people, and sometimes you encounter konik horses or Scottish Highlanders.
Every time it feels like stepping into another world. And that is exactly where The Pearl of Horsterwold lies.
From city to silence
We came from the city ourselves. Work, appointments, always on the go. Until we ended up here in the Horsterwold: silence, trees, water, space. The contrast could not be greater. That's where our idea was born. Making a place where you can do what we found here: return to simplicity, to being outside, to taking time for each other. With the luxuries and comforts that make it nice, but always with nature as our starting point. That's why we took a sustainable approach. For example, our wrap-around houses are built from circular materials, we pay attention to energy and water, and the estate is spacious so that nature and tranquility always have space. Thus, step by step, The Pearl of Horsterwold grew. For us it started with that one discovery, for you it is now a place to get away from it all.

Your days here
Every day can look different. Maybe you put on your running shoes in the morning, rent a canoe or hop on a bike. Or you might opt for central wellness and roll out your mat for yoga in the grass.
In the afternoon, swim in natural waters or walk for hours through the forest. And when the day draws to a close, slide into the restaurant, grab something at the Beachbar or light the barbecue at sunset.
